About Us
Tranquility House is a Residential Care Facility for Elder Care that is a home away from home for our residents. It has been labeled a “Bed and Breakfast for Elders” because of its comfortable setting and compassionate care. Thank you for taking a moment to get to know us.Founded by Elizabeth and Robert Scott, Tranquility House offers your loved one a place to transition to a more dependent lifestyle in a dignified manner. We are acutely aware that this is often times a very stressful situation for our new resident and their family, and we alleviate this stress by providing you with a welcoming team of professionals that truly care about your loved one, and you.
Elizabeth Scott is a licensed Registered Nurse and has over 20 years of experience as a bedside nurse in geriatrics. She understands all levels of elder care and has vast experience in case management. It was from her experiences helping families work through transitions for their loved ones that inspired her to open Tranquility House. In addition to loving her residents, Elizabeth is able to recognize the degree of severity of illnesses, manage their medications and even help families with insurance procedures.
Robert Scott grew up in East County of San Diego and is the Fire Marshall for the City of Encinitas. Robert has served his community in fire service for 23 years. He is a certified CPR instructor and was an EMT. He has a Bachelors degree in Emergency Preparedness. Robert also has a heart for elders and enjoys spending time getting to know them. They love interacting with him and sharing their experiences.
The support staff at Tranquility House is hand picked by Elizabeth. In addition to having significant experience serving elders, a compassionate manner and a sincere interest in the resident’s well-being is mandatory for anyone employed at Tranquility House. The staff prides itself on having regular, genuine interaction with the residents and sharing their day with them.
Tranquility House provides music, games, laughter and love to its residents. Families are encouraged to visit as often as they wish. Visiting hours are 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. You are always welcome.
